Hello there, and thanks for stopping in! More than five years ago I first created this site to share my genealogy research with a wider audience. My focus has been on producing long-form, historically contextualized articles and pieces that demonstrate helpful research strategies in action. This will continue to be the case, but with the added goal of incorporating reflection inspired by sociology and anthropology about migration, labor, religion, gender, race, politics, cultural identity, and the political economy of ancestry and DNA research.
In the next months, I will be re-posting many of my blogs from the old version of this site and adding new ones. I’m looking forward to this new stage in my genealogy work and to hearing from readers in the comments. See you soon!
